ADELAIDE Chair Yoga Teacher Training - 2022

Join us at our face to face training and learn how to teach Chair Yoga in a fun, supportive and inclusive group environment. 

Our course is comprehensive, in-depth and will teach you everything you need to know in order to teach Chair Yoga to many populations, safely and effectively. It is open to yoga and non-yoga teachers such as medical or mental health professionals, community or aged care workers, teachers, corporate workers or anyone who would like to share the benefits of Yoga with more of their community. 

The course consists of 32 hours of study including 2 days of face to face study. There is 16 hrs of home study to be completed within one month after the face to face portion of the training. This includes some study of the manual, DVD and online content and all materials will be given to you when we meet on the first day of training. You may complete this at your own pace, within the one month time-frame. Upon submission of the checklist of homework and 16 question assessment, your certificate will be issued. Please note - unless prior arrangements are made, you will need to be present for the whole weekend to obtain your certificate. 

Course cost includes all training materials including 200+ page manual, access to online content, Claire's DVD plus online versions of Lakshmi's DVD and CD.

*Extra Modalities - such as Reflexology, Accupressure and Do-in self massage

*Business of Chair Yoga

Upon completion our course you will be able to:

*Teach chair yoga to various populations, including but not limited to older people and those with disabilities

*Adapt all traditional mat poses to the chair with options for all students and their individual needs

*Teach in a trauma informed way that ensures your classes are inclusive and accessible for all

*Understand precautions, contraindications, anatomy, and alignment for postures and breathing techniques

*Teach affirmations, visualizations, and imagery

*Help your students improve agility, balance, coordination, body composition, bone mass, cardio endurance, flexibility, range of motion and flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, and mental health.

*Join a supportive worldwide community of Chair Yoga teachers who are sharing their passion for Chair Yoga with many people on many chairs everywhere!

In the event that something changes in the lead up to the weekend, we will let you know as soon as possible. We will endeavour to postpone the training as a first option, and we also have these options available: You can choose to have a refund of fees paid, a credit for a future training, transfer to the one on one online training or transfer to our next virtual classroom training on Zoom. 

Outside of extenuating circumstances our cancellation policy applies:

Full refund (minus $50 admin fee) up to 5 weeks prior to course commencement

50% refund - up to 2 weeks prior to course commencement

20% refund - up to 1 week prior to course commencement

0% refund - less than 1 week prior to course commencement
