CHAIR YOGA CLASSES

Join our inclusive community and experience the many benefits of practicing yoga - on a chair! Experience the benefits of a regular yoga practice, on any chair, anywhere! This Chair Yoga class is perfect for everyBODY but especially for those who want to participate in yoga but have challenges getting down to a yoga mat on the floor. It is ideal if you are travelling, sitting at a desk, a bit older or have challenges with mobility, living with a disability, doing rehab or managing an injury.
​
Classes consist of breathing & chairasanas (seated Yoga movements) to strengthen muscles and joints, improve mobility, health and wellness. Plus a beautiful relaxing meditation which can reduce stress, anxiety and improve overall wellbeing.
​
Class is suitable for everyBODY, no experience necessary. Everyone welcome!
​
If at home, have a sturdy chair, and any props you might like to use. Wear comfortable, loose clothing.
​

SLOW FLOW YOGA CLASSES
​
Slow Flow Yoga is a creative, slower paced class incorporating a blend of Vinyasa (dynamic flowing poses) and Hatha (longer held poses). The slower pace encourages connection of mind, body and breath and an opportunity to find mindfulness within the movement. Great for those who would like to build strength and stability, awareness and decrease stress levels, cultivating a sense of calm.
​
Classes incorporate flowing and longer held Yoga poses that are standing, lying and seated. There is a mixture of gentle and more challenging poses, breathing techniques and meditation. Options will be given throughout the class, so that you can practice in your own way, making the practice suitable for everyone.
​
Bring a mat and any props you would like to use. Wear comfortable loose clothing.

GENTLE EXERCISE CLASSES
​
Gentle exercise is a 45 minute class set to fun music. Class includes 20 minutes of low impact and easy to follow aerobics movements to improve cardiovascular health, co-ordination, memory and boost your mood. The second 20 minutes is focused on strengthening and balancing movements that may help improve your joint health, stability, balance and overall functional fitness. Followed by a 5 minute stretch.A short and sweet well-rounded class that is beneficial for your overall health and fitness.

This class may also be adapted to the chair if needed, just let Claire know before the class so she can give you some options.

ZUMBA GOLD CLASSES
​
Get fit, make friends and have fun in this weekly Zumba Gold class suitable for beginners, older adults or any one who would like to join a slower paced, low impact dance party!
​
Get your heart rate up dancing to all the same rhythms from all over the world, without the impact on your body. Just like in all of our classes - move your body however suits you! As we say, as long as you are sweating and smiling, that is all that matters. Everyone welcome.
Bring yourself, a smile and some water. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that support your feet like sneakers.

ZUMBA FITNESS CLASSES
​
Open level class with easy to follow moves and funky music from all over the world. This class is high energy, and a good workout. It's perfect for anyone who would like to get fit, have fun, and make new friends! Guaranteed to leave you sweating and smiling!

Even though this is a faster pace class, everybody is welcome to join us and participate in their own way.
​
Bring yourself, a smile and some water. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that support your feet like sneakers.

PILATES CLASSES
​
Pilates is a low impact exercise class that incorporates breath focused movements focused on cultivating core stability, while lengthening and strengthening muscles. The exercises are done on the floor or standing and are great for improving functional movement and posture.
Options will be given throughout the class, so that you can practice in your own way, making the practice suitable for everyone.

Bring a mat, and wear comfortable clothes that you can move well in.
​
​
